With a distinctive maritime atmosphere, Santos offers a unique blend of golden beaches, manicured gardens and rich cultural heritage. In addition to being home to the largest port in Latin America, the city is famous for its well-preserved colonial architecture and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Santos is an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the sea breeze, explore its historical heritage and taste delicious Brazilian cuisine in a picturesque and relaxed setting.

We rode a tram that showed us incredible places in the old town, climbed a hill on a funicular and walked along much of the beach.

You can’t miss taking a ride through the entire historic center on a tram. It costs about $1.38 (R$ 7.00) and runs from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Enjoy the funicular ride that runs 147 meters from the slope of Mount Serrat to the top, it takes about 4 minutes, and at the top you not only find beautiful views of the city, but it is also where the old casino and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mount Serrat, the patron saint of Saints. The ticket is about $3.95 or $4.94, depending on the day of the visit (R$20 and R$25) and the schedule also varies:
