I remember while I was a student at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, most of the time after classes, specially when I had another class later and didn’t want to go back home, I used to go to Dania Beach to relax at the beach or go rollerblading around the area.

Love visiting this area in South Florida. Sometimes before sunset, I visited Hollywood Beach, take a walk by the boardwalk and enjoy the view.

Another nice activity to do in the area, go biking. There are places where you can rent a bike in Hollywood Beach at the boardwalk or bring yours.

Last time, I parked as usually at Dania Beach. There’s a pier and the beach is really nice. I started biking from there, passing by the boardwalk in Hollywood Beach with the amazing view to the beach and then by the street until I reached Hallandale Beach.

It’s a nice easy ride. No hills, a designated area for bikes and of course, bring sun blocker and a hat. Just be careful with pedestrians since most of them are tourist and walk very slow (sometimes) by the biking route.

By the A1A, the road that goes along the beach, my favorite to drive by as well, you’ll find a biking route. Just remember to bring your helmet at all times and enjoy the ride!
