What an amazing trip from Venice to the neighbor islands of Murano and Burano.

Our cruise ship made a stop in Venice where we got to spend a night. After a long walk around Venice, and because the World Cup 2018, at night, we just stayed at the ship to watch the game. I already visited Venice before so it helped to know where to go and what to see in short time. (Check out here my video from my trip to Venice in 2010)
From the cruise ship, we needed to take the ‘people mover’ from the port area or if arriving by car, the parking lot area, to Piazzale Roma where you can find many vaporetto stations. Super easy and you can buy the ticket right there. (you can see a bit about this in the video)
On the following morning, we took a tour to see Murano and Burano, only minutes away from Venice. We took an excursion from the cruise to do this so we can arrive on time back to the ship, but you can take a vaporetto (a water bus) from St. Mark’s Square to get to both islands. I enjoy taking the vaporetto because it’s cheaper than a taxi boat, not as touristic as gondolas and still takes you to your point.
