If you’re thinking about going on a cruise and you’re interested in learning more about the Celebrity Reflection, today I’m sharing our general experience aboard this ship from Celebrity Cruises. I shared my experience on the Celebrity Reflection, our first trip on this ship that we loved so much we decided to go on another cruise on it. In this new post, I’ll show you everything from our cabins to the spots we enjoyed the most during our trips. And don’t miss the video at the end for more information and images on the cruise: Celebrity Reflection.

Staterooms 8143 and 9162
We’ve had the opportunity to travel twice on the Celebrity Reflection, staying in different interior rooms each time, without windows or natural light. On the first occasion, we stayed in cabin 8143, and on the second, in 9162. While both were comfortable for the two of us, we noticed that 9162 felt a bit more spacious, mainly because it included a sofa that 8143 didn’t have.
Despite not having an exterior view, we never felt confined, since we spent most of our time exploring the ship and enjoying the activities. To rest after a day full of adventures, these staterooms turned out to be more than enough.
Something I did like more about 8143 is that it was on the same level and just a few steps from The Hideaway. In the mornings it was easy to grab a cup of coffee while getting ready to head out, and in the afternoons, on sea days, I would sometimes sit and read for a while there.
If you don’t mind not having windows for a few days and are looking to enjoy yourself while saving a bit, I think interior cabins are a good option. What we save we can use for some drinks or maybe an excursion. We are two adults, I’m not sure if with kids, for example a family of four, it would be a good idea.
I’m mentioning the cabin numbers because even though they were the same cabin style, both were different. In the video you can see a bit more of each room. The nightstand on both sides of the bed seemed very small to me, and they didn’t have outlets to charge phones, so I had to plug anything in next to the TV. I always bring an adapter for multiple devices, which makes everything easier for my husband and me.
Cuisine on board
One of the things we like most about this cruise is the food variety. Although we’ve never made reservations at the specialty restaurants, they’re worth knowing about. For example, “Tuscan Grille” offers Italian cuisine with a modern twist; “Murano” is perfect for a more sophisticated experience with a great variety of wines and cheeses; “Sushi on 5” has fresh sushi prepared on the spot; “Lawn Club Grill” (on deck 15) is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor grilling; and “Le Petit Chef” offers a fun and visual experience with animations projected on the table.
We usually prefer dinner at the main dining room or the buffet, depending on how we feel that day. Many times both offer similar dishes, so you can choose between table service or helping yourself and trying different things at your own pace with the buffet.
Another good option, maybe in the afternoon on a sea day, is to visit Mast Grill (deck 15). There they offer burgers and hot dogs, you can add tomatoes, onions or lettuce, different sauces, they also offer turkey or vegetarian sandwiches. In the video, you’ll see more of this service. This is included with your ticket so it’s worth taking advantage of. Right there you can also grab a soft serve ice cream.
On the other hand, for an extra cost, you can also find a spot with coffee, desserts, and gelato at Café al Bacio & Gelateria, on deck 5. Normally at the buffet or at The Hideaway you can find regular coffee and options with cream or milk, here the coffee is different like cappuccino or mocha. At the buffet there’s also an ice cream station, but the gelatos here are a real treat. At least once it’s worth it, and on our second trip, with the tier we had (Classic), it offered us a small gelato for free, which we obviously didn’t pass up.
Extras and tips for your trip
The Celebrity Reflection also offers extra packages like internet or alcoholic beverages. Our recommendation is to consider how much you plan to drink per day. If you only have two or three drinks and not every day, maybe paying individually is cheaper than getting a full package. It all depends on your travel style and consumption. Another option, each adult on Celebrity Cruises is allowed to bring a bottle of wine (750 ml) in their carry-on luggage on embarkation day. If you decide to drink it at a restaurant onboard, a corkage fee may apply, unless you have a beverage package.
The Celebrity app is honestly very good and will help you a lot with everything. From checking in a day before, checking schedules, to viewing restaurant menus. On the last cruise we saw in the app that one of the shops was giving away a Pandora-style bracelet and you could buy a charm each day at a low price. I love those little details. They also gave us a necklace with a floating locket, I think that’s what they’re called, with little charms. Super cute. We wouldn’t have known about that without using the app.
The Celebrity Reflection is also known for its modern art onboard, its spacious areas to relax, and its attention to detail in service. It’s an elegant ship without feeling too formal, ideal both for those seeking tranquility and those wanting entertainment and good food.
