Caribbean beautiful beaches: my favorites so far

If there’s one thing I never get tired of, it’s discovering Caribbean beautiful beaches. Each island has its own personality, colors, and vibe, and honestly… comparing them feels almost unfair because they’re all special in different ways. But after visiting quite a few over the years, there are some that truly stayed in my heart. And of course, I needed to add only 2 beaches in Venezuela (cuz I can create a whole post about them all).

Morrocoy National Park – Cayo Sombrero

Cayo Sombrero is one of those beaches that looks like a postcard in real life. Located inside Morrocoy National Park, you get there by boat from towns like Tucacas or Chichiriviche, which already makes the experience feel like an adventure. The water has multiple shades of blue, it’s usually calm, and the sand is bright and soft. If you go, try to arrive early and consider bringing shade because the sun can be intense. Boat access is the only way to reach the cay, and the protected waters make it excellent for swimming and snorkeling.

Mochima National Park – Playa Piscina

Playa Piscina feels exactly like its name suggests: a natural swimming pool. The water is incredibly clear and calm, perfect for floating and relaxing for hours. Many of the beaches in Mochima are stunning, but this one stood out to me because of how peaceful it felt. Like Morrocoy, you’ll usually arrive by boat, and I always recommend planning a full day so you’re not rushing the experience. I remember as a kid asking my dad to go to this beach all the time :).

St. Thomas – Secret Harbour Beach (and Magens Bay)

Most visitors know Magens Bay Beach, and yes… it’s beautiful! But I personally fell more in love with Secret Harbour Beach. It’s quieter, more relaxed, and great for snorkeling right from the shore. If you want fewer crowds and a calmer atmosphere, this is a wonderful option.

The Baths – British Virgin Islands

The Baths is one of the most unique beach landscapes I’ve ever seen. Giant granite boulders create natural pools, caves, and little passages you can walk through. It feels adventurous and beautiful at the same time. Water shoes can be very helpful here because some areas are rocky and slippery.

Palm Beach – Aruba

Palm Beach is the definition of easy Caribbean vacation mode. Soft sand, calm water, beach bars, resorts, and that perfect “frozen drink in hand” atmosphere. I’ve stayed in this area more than once, and every time I’m reminded why Aruba is so loved. The consistent weather and gentle waves make it ideal for relaxing without worrying too much about conditions.

Great Bay Beach – Philipsburg

This one completely stole my heart. Great Bay Beach has calm water, beautiful views, and something I love: restaurants and beach bars right along the shore. The one day trip was perfect! On the day I visited, on a cruise, we were the only cruise ship in port, so it felt almost private. Sometimes timing makes all the difference, and that experience turned this beach into one of my personal favorites.

There are still so many islands and beaches I’d love to explore in the future, but these Caribbean beautiful beaches are the ones that left the strongest impression on me so far. Each one offered something different, adventure, relaxation, scenery, or simply that feeling of being exactly where you’re supposed to be in the moment.
