Meet WandererYoss

I was born in Venezuela and I’m also half Colombian. Since 1999, I’ve been living in Florida, having moved around quite a bit — from St. Petersburg to Miami/Doral, then Miramar, Clermont, and Lake Mary.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production, graduating in Ft. Lauderdale. Before that, I studied Theater as a major, although I didn’t finish… maybe one day I will! I also completed my MBA with a concentration in Hospitality Management — of course!

In 2011, I had the amazing opportunity to stay in Paris for about three months. I’m still trying to learn French, by the way! I’m also slowly improving my Portuguese. So technically, I kind of speak four languages — although I’m still learning all of them, including Spanish lol, which is actually my first language.

After living in South Florida means I often mix Spanish and English without even noticing. Sometimes I say words in Spanish while thinking in English… which doesn’t always work out, especially when the word doesn’t exist!

I used to do a lot of solo traveling, but now I’m married to another wanderer like me. We have two dogs who often travel with us, especially on Florida adventures. I love road trips — especially when I’m the one driving!

My first cruise was in 2017, and I’ve done six so far (2025).

Writing stories and scripts has been a passion of mine since I was a kid. I took a break from it for a while, but now I’m getting back into it. Hopefully, one day I’ll publish a book — or even better — make a movie. It’s something I feel I have to do.

As someone who grew up near Mochima National Park in Venezuela, the beach has always been part of my life. That’s one of the reasons I love living in Florida — I have access to so many beautiful beaches on both the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. I also enjoy the occasional cold weather, mostly because I like dressing up for it.

Today, living so close to Walt Disney World — about 30 minutes away — means I can visit the parks often. Epcot is my favorite, and I even had the chance to work there for a year, which was such a cool experience. You’ll also find lots of Disney content mixed into my love for travel. Reason why I created in 2013 Todo Sobre Disney, but because I created Todo Sobre Florida (All about Florida – because it’s been my home for years and I love this state) I closed the Disney one and merged it to Todo Sobre Florida (both in English and Spanish) :).

My Instagram account, WandererYoss, is filled with photos from my trips, but also moments with friends, parties, my dogs, and random bits of everyday life. I try to keep it mostly travel-related, though!

Together with Ana, I created Acceso Total 29 in 2008. Since 2016, I’ve been doing the voiceovers for our travel videos, and my husband Trevor creates most of the music for them. You can check them out at AccesoTotal29 or on this blog (for content in English).

In 2014, I started hiking and trekking — my first experience was visiting Mount Roraima, and I’ve gone on a few more hikes since then. I’d love to do even more. One of my biggest bucket list goals is to walk or bike El Camino de Santiago in Spain.

Aside from Acceso Total 29 (also known as AT29: Aventura Turística), as I mentioned before, I also created TodoSobreDisney (which I closed in 2020), TodoSobreFlorida (in both Spanish and English), and ATNoticiasViajes (in Spanish).

  1. We’re thinking of traveling to Lecheria in March and would love to rent a house or condo. Do you know of anyone who does that?

    • Hello Michael! I don’t know anyone in specific, but just be careful if looking online because I was actually searching for some apartment to rent for a week and found few nice places, but then looking at the pictures it’s not in Lecheria, it looks more like Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. (I know very well Lecheria, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale) If I found something I’ll let you know for sure. However, there are few hotels very nice to stay like Puerto Playa (which actually offers an apartment -2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom with a small kitchen and a balcony), Punta Palma (it has a beach), those two are the best options (quality, price, great staff, secure and very close to lots of things). Please, don’t doubt in contact me for anything you might need while in Lecheria, this is my 2nd home in Venezuela, my gorgeous country is amazing but not very secure right now :(. Take care.
